Quilt A Bag was created in April of 2010 by two quilt loving friends. Both of them shared the same passion but in two different styles. While one was deeply attracted to the Asian style of quilting in Taiwan and Japan, the other was mesmerized by the North American quilting style.
East Asian quilting focuses on intricacy and uses more warm-toned colour for projects such as handbags, wall hanging and accessories. Meanwhile, North American quilting embraces vivid colours with creative patterns, where quilters often share and exchange blocks to make a memorial quilt.
They shared a dream to have a shop where they can provide and share ideas for quilters to create their own projects. They believe that quilting can become one¡¦s life-long friend, and so, Quilt A Bag was born. For these two friends, deciding on which style to specialize was impossible, as both quilting styles are unique on their own terms. So they have incorporated both styles into their shop!
